On June 14, 2009, Kojair’s 50th birthday was celebrated. The doors of Kojair Tech Oy’s Vilppula factory opened at 10 am and invited guests, partners, dealers, customers, friends and families to get acquainted with the factory’s operations and products. In the weather forecast, the promised rains stayed away to celebrate, and salmon soup was served for lunch on the yard.
Heikki Aro, CEO, welcomed the guests, and Martin Steegmüller of SKAN, in his keynote address, emphasized the importance of an open corporate culture in innovative operations. The customer experience is not only good, but great, combined with well-staffed and quality products.
Former CEO Arno Wouters also welcomed the importance of Kojair’s staff as the foundation for the company’s success and continued development.
In his speech, Heikki Aro introduced Kojair’s plans for the future and five new product lines. Fifty years is a great achievement for the company, but the journey continues, and Kojair will invest more in product development, quality and safety.
Although people paradoxically expect and fear change, Kojair must continue to have the courage to think creatively and to develop high-quality, safe products.
The celebration day continued at the Serlachius Museum in Gösta. We were given a guided tour of the museum, exploring the history of the museum’s Vilppula and exploring the magnificent works of art behind the most respected artists in Finnish history, such as Akseli Gallen-Kallela and Helene Schjerfbeck. At the end of the museum tour, the evening celebration was held in the Rapukartano until happy hours. The evening party also rewarded employees who worked for Kojair for years.
