The Innovator

“We humans are a paradoxical kind: we are able to embrace innovation and fear at the same time.”

On the one hand, we can be conservative and sceptical about innovations that could pose a threat to a comfortable way of working and routines with which we have become familiar. On the other hand, we are thrilled when things improve.

A big trend exemplifies our approach to innovation: technology. Do we see it as a threat or as an opportunity?

It is much easier to copy than to innovate. Continuing to do what we’ve been doing takes us from 1 to 1. The key is to develop something new: something that will take us from 0 to 1. This is the kind of thinking that we encourage and that is written in our genes. To improve, you have to think outside the box and act accordingly.

Creating something new improves both quality and safety.
